Birthday Bear + Many, many birthdays = Old Coot Bear
Birthday Bear loves to celebrate birthdays! (Well…duh!) To him, the passing of another year is to be relished and enjoyed. And of course, there should always be lots of cake and gifts for the birthday boy or girl.  But what if Birthday Bear wasn’t eternally young? After celebrating so many birthdays, he’d probably grumble, “Happy Birthday?!?! What’s so gosh-durn happy about it??” When you get to be a certain age, you can’t really enjoy them like you used to. Eating cake may be ill-advised (screws with your blood sugar levels), and nobody really knows what to give you as a gift (A hot water bottle? Socks? How about a nice enema?) Birthdays for Old Coot Bear only remind him that he’s one step closer to a dirt nap. Better not mention the “B-word” around him unless you wanna get a smack to the head with his cane.  Yeah, I know that this particular bear is beyond the “Teen Years” that I’ve been titling this series with, but I really wanted to do this one.
