Grumpy Bear + Mood altering pharmaceuticals = Prozac Bear

Grumpy Bear is always kind of cranky, moody, and tends to walk around with a cloud over his head. The other Care Bears eventually became tired of Grumpy’s apathy and sour attitude. They jumped him, tied him up, and dragged him to a psychiatrist. After a thorough psychoanalysis, he was diagnosed with dysthymic disorder. Not to worry though! The magic of modern medicine came to the rescue! A handful of “happy” pills turned Grumpy’s frown upside down! Look at that smile! And the best part is, it never goes away!

That's just wrong....but it's funny.

This is funny. It would be so nice if prozac really worked like that. I get a kick out of people when I read that they just started taking prozac and what a wonderful difference they felt. Makes me wonder if they just didn't get a "water" pill. Cos I know prozac doesn't (or any other anti-depressant for that matter) work over night. It takes a couple of months to build up. This is cute! :D

:giggle: Yeah, oftentimes, that which seems to be wrong IS actually quite funny. Glad you liked this one, too! Thanks for your comments, as usual! I really appreciate them! :)

 Yes, good points all the way around. As a pharmacologist, I know that any anti-depressant med needs months to fully kick in. Hmm... I wonder if it works a little differently on Care Bears? :D
Thanks, Lori!!

Ah, I'm glad that this brought back memories for you! I was a big fan of the Care Bears as a little girl. I collected some of the toys. The movie that you might be thinking of was simply "The Care Bears Movie". It did well enough at the box office to yield two or three sequels. Go figure.
